Brenda, are you going to try potatoes in the house? Outside? I've never plante potatoes for inside but planted many outside in the garden. Even helped plant and cultivate them using old tires, instead of having to dig a hill of potatoes all you have to do is push over the tires and pick them up. It's a space saver too cause you can just keep adding tires and the potato plant will keep growing up and up with more and more potatoes below. When you add another tire just make sure the plant is big enough that it rises over the top of the tire and add dirt if needed to cover up to about half way of the newly added tire. Lol, you may not have wanted to know this but ya never know what may come in handy messing around with plants.

I have two avocados to try this with. I have tried this before and given the tree to my friend afterwards.

I don't eat the avocados either, my insects do I am going to try mixing brown sugar in with the avocados and see if some of my beetles and isopods will eat it.

I don't really want an avocado tree but I cannot bring myself to throw out good seeds

I've got an avocado tree that's about 3 1/2 to 4 ft. Tall. I thin it's cool. I have it staked to help stabilize it had it for about 2 yes.

I have several now in water, and 4 have roots and stem. You need a female and male to be able to grow the fruit.

So they're not self-pollinating. I like plants that are.

I grew an avocado once from a pit and had it for about 6 months before I gave it to one of my girlfriends with black thumbs!

They really look cool as they grow. Pictures, please.
