Those pretty Flowering Kale

My hubby bought me some flowering Kale[I just call them flowering cabbage] to brighten the winter garden. They do make for a nice bright color in all this winter dull-drum!

Those are interesting plants. I've seen some with an incredible range of colors.

AND what is really cool is, the colder it gets the more the color intensifies on them. I have the loose leafed ones and the very dense ones. Both types are gorgeous.

Really nice pictures of the flowering Kale. I know it's really cold up your way now and yet these plants apparently take it pretty well. Do you know what the ultimate cold tolerance is for flowering kale? Swiss Chard also makes a very colorful winter garden plant and comes in so many colors. I have grown those in winter in Houston.

The other picture you posted "My Matrona", what plant is that - a sedum variety?

Txbeyer the matrona is a sedum. It grows like the sedum, Autumn Joy. I used to have the emporers coat and Frosty Morn, but they didn`t come up this year for some reason. Maybe they`ll surprise me and reappear this coming year. one can always hope!
