Purple Leaf Shamrock

I was wondering if anyone on here might know what the Purple Leaf Shamrock does to reproduce. Does it spread? Go to seed? What in the world does it do? LOL! I am curious. I have one that my aunt gave me (well... gave my mom and she gave it to me) that did pitifully indoors but has been great since I moved it outside about 2 years. It even seems to be spreading a little if that makes sense.

Thanks!

Any shamrock that I have had have been bulb. Those will just multiply, I think. Far from an expert here, though...someone else surely knows for sure.

The bulbs do multiply, and the plant also produces seed.
The pic below ( sorry for the poor quality) was taken in my garden this morning.

The little pods will burst open when they have ripened,
propelling the teensy, tiny seeds out to some distance.
Little baby Oxalis atropurpurea pop up between my stepping stones.

Hmmm... I don't know if I have noticed the seed pods. I will have to look closer at them when I get home today. Thank you!

I have a Purple Oxalis "Shamrock", someone gave me and I have mine indoors...This is information I have on it:

Indoors-keep in a well-lit location away from hot or cold draft,,should be kept barely moist at all times.
Outdoors: Plant outdoors when weather is warm...Relatively pest free...After blooming, if plant dies back, allow it to go dormant for 1-3 months. The corms should be kept cool and dry....After dormancy, repot and or divide the corms..(Optional) When signs of new growth emerge, begin to water, fertilize and move to a sunny spot.. Hardy in zone 6-10

Troubleshooting; Tall and lanky plants, needs more light, too warm (temp over 75 F)
yellowing plant- watering to much

Hope this will help...
