Pieris Japonica "Dorothy Wyckoff"Anyone have any experience with this plant? I got it on a massive sale the other day at Lowes. It's known for it's foliage and blooms ...i think..white flowers in the spring. Then in the winter it gets the long tendrils like things that are very showy. Mine is still young but I can't wait! The colors are very pretty. The new leaves start res then turn to every shade of green before finally resting on a deep dark green. Well, that's what it says on the label. ![]() It's still young but already very pretty. |

| We have one that got transplanted from my mil. Love it! They suggest rt. after they are done blooming in the spring to clip back flowers but I didn't this year and it's doing fine. Ours blooms white. Beautiful shrub, more of a slow-medium grower. Hope it does well for you. |

| I love pieris! The ones I've had had white bunches of flowers, each bloom on the bunch resembles a lily of the valley. The bees LOVE the blooms. I never cut the spent blooms off and they did great. Had one at the house I grew up in and we called it the bee tree! That one was about 8 feet tall. My parents werent gardeners so no extra care was given to it. |
