[Need Advice] Killing Bamboo spread

my neighbor planted an invasive species of bamboo that keeps spreading to my yard. I tried digging the 16 inched ditch to seperate but it went deeper. Right now what is working is I cut it and throw white vinegar down the shoot and that stops that shoot - but it is a constant vigilant task. hoping for something long term. talked to the neighbor and 'they love it for the sight lines from their house'.
