QuestionHow do you start Trumpet vine from Seed

Hi all,

I have red trumpet and yellow trumpet vine seeds. Last summer (late summer), I planted these seeds and nothing came up. What did I do wrong? I know they are suppose to come up the year after you plant. Someone told me to soak them before I plant them. Someone said to put them in the fridge for 6 weeks. So then, What do I actually need to do to make sure some of these seeds come up this year.. I have seven acres of pasture land I am in the process of planting. I know they are invasive, But I love them and so do the hummingbirds and the bees.. They did really well about forty miles from here. We bought this place two years ago and I didn`t think to get a cutting from my trumpets in Dallas when we moved. I thought it would be sooooooo easy to just plant some seeds.. Well uhm, Apparently not.. Any ideas will be appreciated.. God bless, Jan
