Is this a Coleus?Hey all... I was weeding my yard (yes, my yard) a while ago and I came across this little bugger. It looks like a variety of Coleus. I've got a Coleus but its not exactly like this one. The leaf pattern is the same on mine and so are the colors. There has NEVER been a Coleus on this property in the past 22 years except for the one I bought 2 months ago. And the one I bought has not seeded, flowered or anything that would have put this in my yard. Could this really be a wild Coleus or been a gift from a bird?? Pics below... ![]()

| Sure looks like a coleus to me. ![]() I've had them pop up in the potting soil around plants that I bought from various nurseries. ![]()

| WOOHOO!! Another free plant I've already got it transplanted and watered. I love lawn surprises. I've got 4 oaks, 1 holly, and one cedar(?) that has popped up in the past year. And now I've got a Coleus. Sweet!! Thanks for the replies ![]()

| That's exactly where I've got my Coleus as well. I've got most of them outside where they get 3 hours of full sun in the morning and partial sun the rest of the day. I can root a cutting VERY well in about a week and a half in that spot. I'm talking roots that are 2-3 inches long! These babies are SUPER-DUPER propagators. I just love 'em!
