Questioncan you start crepe myrtles from cuttings

I think I've asked this before, but can you start crepe myrtles from cuttings? and how would you go about doing that?

I think I found the truth, problem is it makes no sense....

I know you can, but it might be too late in the year now. There's lots of info on it on the internet. I did a few springs ago and several took root but sadly none survived.

It's very easy. I know someone who started some by accident. They had trimmed back their large plant and used several of the 'sticks' as markers for other plants so they wouldn't get run over my the lawn mower. A few weeks later, the marker sticks started growing leaves.
