Gingers

I also have
Hedychium coronarium
Heydechium "Tai Golden Goddess" and another tall variety I have forgotten the name of, unless I lost one of the 2 when I moved last month. Still waiting for my transplants to bloom to be sure but that will probably be next year as I interrupted them late in the season.

They are easy to grow here in 8b, lovely and fragrant.

Wanna trade something?

I have pineapple ginger and a piece from the grocery store. I dont have a green house so I have to let it die back for winter. Obviously I've never gotten any 'pineapples' to form.

Here are a few photos of a couple of mine. Problem is they need some rain and are hidden behind cannas.
