Anyone else into Bonsai types?

I found a Buddha Belly plant this spring and LOVE it! the leaves are HUGE. I just bought a Desert Rose, been wanting one for awhile. I bought some Buddha belly seed, but haven't started them yet. I think I will start a few this winter and see how it goes. Just wondering who else is into these type plants? And what else is out there that I am missing and might just "have" to have?

mickeysrose is the desert rose queen! I just got two plants from her and they are fantastic. I have been wanting to try buddahs belly.. you'll have to give us an update. I have heard they are difficult from seed.. but, I have no personal experience. Good luck! Oh.. to get one more person lusting after them.. check out bat flowers (taccas) LOL.. I think just about everyone here wants one.

If I can get the Buddha's to grow I will be glad to share. I may have to do some bargaining with mickeysrose! On the other hand, I absolutley can not bring another plant into my house until spring. I do want to do some trading with you this spring Faerie. I looked up the Bat Flowers. VERY NICE!

Hi

Yes, I love these too! They are called caudiciforms.

Have you tried Kurrajong trees? They form a great twisting and turning caudex.
I am especially fond of my Ficus petiolaris as well.
