Yet another unidentified plant!

This was one of my bargains from Lowes. My picture of the whole plant isn't really great. The leaves are dark green, almost red or purple in some areas. No idea what it is or where to plant it, though. Under the dried up blooms, there is this odd "seed?". If those are seed, I should collect them. But I am not sure. Who can help?

WinkI'll take a guess

The first thing that occurs to me is Penstemon ....

I'd plant it in a sunny location and leave those pods on the stems until the stems begin to dry.
My Penstemon makes seed pods that look very much like those, and when they have dried properly,
there are hundreds of tee-tiny little seeds inside each pod.
