wisteriaIs there a trick for this stuff, my daughter had bout me two sm plants and the vine is now about 12 ft tall and getting wild lookin. Have tied it up do ya think I will get a bloom this spring, have not had one yet. Any ideas????

wisteriaGood Grief! No wonder I haven't had any blooms! I had no idea that it could take as long as 10 years to bloom. I bought my plant at Home Depot.....probably 7or 8 years ago & it has NEVER bloomed. Guess that means I might see results in a couple more years? LOL Good thing it is growing up my mesquite tree & at least provides some nice foliage or it would have been gone long ago. |

| I think that buying wisterias that are acclimated to your are is a good bet. Down here there is a Texas variety that is less invasive and very florid. Avery Island variety is a variety from Louisiana that is beautiful. A trick that many professional gardeners do that design installments in parks do is they combine different varieties that bloom at different times to extend the bloom time. |

wisteriaI live in TX & bought my plant at Ft. Worth. It has been so many years ago that I can't remember what the name of the one I bought was?????? Angie, I know what you mean bout being able to get out of the rocker to see it bloom. LOL After all this time, I wonder if mine will ever bloom. |
