Cool

We have hummers here, I just haven't been able to catch one around my house to visible see one. My MIL and her bestfriend see one on a weekly basis at their homes a few blocks away. I'm so JEALOUS!!! I think it's the red Hibiscus growing over there drawing him/her in. Is hibiscus easy to root if you take a cutting of it? HUMMER FEVER!

Hummer

Hi
We have the Ruby Throat variety here. They arrive like clock work on April 14th. The males come first with the females to follow about 2 weeks later.
They leave in about the middle of September. They fly to Central Mexico...quite a trip for such a little fella.

Here is a great site to explain everything:

I see mine once in a while, one buzzed my head last weekend when I was working on a flower bed.....heard this buzz, and he took off.I was under the pole that holds one of my feeders.Little buggers are fast, and my eyes are old and slow,so I haven't got a good look at them yet.

Smile

Those are some awesome pics! Thinks it would be very difficult to get a good shot of those little buggers zooming around! Thanks for sharing.

They are just the cutest little things, just wish I could see them here. By the way your dog is a cutie also! Aren't pets the greatest? We need a pet section here, lots of animal lovers!
