I'll be sure to keep you all going with pics from my garden in our summer when you are in your winter-that is, provided I get to have a garden (or a home!) I just found out my nursing license is going to be $220 to get it in Western Australia and then $280 every 3 yrs after that. To give you an idea, I had a fit when Oklahoma charged me $72 since Michigan only charged me the same $40 I've paid for 20 yrs (for a 2 yr license). Things are astronomically expensive over there. But we've lived on little before. I'll have to save my butter tubs for seed pots!!

Kidding??

I picked bulbs- I love the carefreeness of them. They spread so nice. But I really love shrubs too! I cant grow cacti up in these parts so I ofcourse wouldnt pick them but they are a favorite house plant. Vines are great but they can go places you dont want them to go. Annuals you dont get the return unless they are reseeding anuals.

Honestly, how can you pick just one?
The more I see the most I like em "all".
Picked up lots of "free" ones yesterday from a newfriend in OK, he had tons of lil babies, and was awesomely generous with giving me whatever I walked through his greenhouses, pickingup.
Now those are the best!!!!!!!
Thx again JL'ssmithplants.

I will be bringing you a special box of goodies, for christmas next week.

Hey Cathy! Where is your friend on OK located? They have a nursery or just a personal greenhouse?

Located out near lake dirtybird, (Thunderbird), a bit east of Norman. He participates in farmers markets mostly in that area, and has 2 personal green houses (loaded with tons of plants). I dont believe he has done much of our kind of plantswapping, mostly selling his plants at the farmers markets. You should see the many African milkweed plants he has. Cant wait to get back with them, and get them potted up & given new homes. Most excied about a small new christmas cacti, with a georgous red bloom, am so excited about it. Even got several pieces from a few others (unsure of colors). Need to lay everything out, sort and see what all I have now. The snapdragons, look like they will be georgous, red, yellow (does anyone know if they seed). Jerry even showed me how they can talk.(lol), seems like I had some before, but do not remember them producing seeds. Several different succulents, cacti, lots more stuff I know you all might be able to help me locate a name for.
Anyone, ever seen a plant referred to as swiss cheese? Who'd a thought.... Lol

Will try to take pics to share
Excited, can you tell?

Wow Cathy, what made you resurrect this 4 year old thread? With all the new plants you acquired I would have thought that you would just open a new thread. But then you can be so silly at times or maybe it is just me. I am also excited to see your new acquisitions very nice friend.

Swampy,
Unsure where this materilized from, I noticed today there was a tie and thought Calin posted today about bulbs being in lead.
Me Silly, whatever do you mean?
What gives you that impression?

My new babies to my collection were taken home potted up & placed in greenhouse for winter. Will try to start new thread.........

I have been adding to my albums.
