Hey there
You might also try replacing the red mulch with a bag of white crushed stone or pebbles to expand the visual effect and create a larger feature making more room to install more plants.
Maybe an azalea behind the fountain to the left. Would give the illusion of a miniature tree. What do you think??

Pooh Here in N.Ga. we are blessed with alot of rocks which I love in the landscape, so I got a huge flower pot & stacked rocks all around it untill I got the look I wanted, Just used my noodle & put it together. I will finish up the flowers around it next,however it gets full sun so have 2 use sun plants.any suggestions swap Buddies?
