| I think that's a great idea Pushin'! We might have to go by areas because what's considered invasive in one section isn't in another such as Lantana. It's a weed in some areas and an annual that you pay $2.99 a pot to buy in Pa. Yarrow the same thing. I just received Soapwort seeds from Suddenly Spring that just made the worst offending weeds list in Colorado although she says everyone grows them. I was delighted to get these because I've always wanted to try them and they aren't on the weed list here. So it might be really interesting to see what qualifies as invasive in the various areas of our swap gang. ![]() |

HeyThis is a great idea, since some of these are some of our favorites, and we could swap them! As for the north shore of Massachusetts: (Not stating the obvious like grass, dandelions, etc.) Norway Maples Porcelain Vine Rose of Sharon hmm... will have to think about what else. |

| It'll be fun to find out what each of us considers invasive! Believe it or not buddleas(butterfly bushes) in Pa grow wild, the light lavender kind and are considered invasive. There was a group that went out and got rid of a bunch of them. Made me sick. Well my sister had one of the lavender babies pop up in her yard and I have it now. Haven't planted it yet but it'll join my pink, yellow & reddish purple one. I love them! |

Some people say....When I got Sweet Autumn Climatis I looked it up and there was article that it is invasive and the guy wanted to rip it out. Now I dont know If i want to plant it or not. If I do plant it...where? Maybe I will pot it and let it climb up by my porch for the shade I want there. Any one have this plant? |

| Trumpet vine can be pretty invasive here in West Tx. Give it a pinch of dirt and it will grow anywhere...whether you like it or not! Lantana grows well and is sold a lot here, but can be hard to get rid of if you decide you don't want it.

| Oh I forgot to mention Siberian Elms. They are the spawns of HELL. Every spring I pick the little trees--millions of them!--out of every nook and cranny of my yard. They rain down their demon spawns for months, they grow one-inch trunks in one season, with a very long tap root. Did I mention I despise these THINGS? |

Humming Bird VineI learned about it when I research and "Googled". I have some both in my front and back yard. It grows from seeds, annual vine, and a fast grower. The green leaves are lacy and fern like. It has red small flowers that hummingbirds like. |

| Central Texas- Nandina, Chinese Tallow, China Berry, Yellow Star thistle, Yellow clover, KR Bluestem, crownvetch, Johnston grass, vinca, tree of Heaven. I have a friend who has all of these in her yard. They all fight each other. She is a lax gardener and the place is a jungle. I feel like torching her place sometimes when I go over there. I know, no judgements. I always check my shoes after i leave her place, and I park down the street. I am grateful that it is not my yard. |
