trees from nowhere!

i keep pulling up baby trees... i have no idea how they get in my garden or where they're from... my yard, front & back is completely tree free (except the walnut tree, which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay far away from my garden), clear out by the meadow... lol but i have mystery trees growing in a bunch of my pots & stuff. how the heck does that happen????

ahhhhh i see!

well, i saw a bunch of red birds with mohawks & black boxes on their faces (dunno what they are).. had 7 of them picking out my vegetables they were eating some seeds & leaves off my plants (i leave 'em there for 'em).. i had a bunch of birdies hopping around the garden today. lol and i saw a squirrel out in the middle of the yard, all nice & fat & cute looking. so that's probably exactly what it is!!! i have just been wondering where the heck all these trees could possibly come from!

but i have an ungodly amount of trees! lol just one of my 3 gallon buckets has like 5 trees coming up... -_- i am not fond of these "presents"... lol but i think i'll keep a couple, just to see what they are!!!

anyone want some mystery tree seedlings? lol

nope, no pix.. :/

i don't know they're trees.. just assumed. lol they're about 2 feet tall & have a woody twig-like stem, with 2 or 3 leaves up at the very top. they look like baby trees, from all the pictures i've seen of tree seedlings.

????????

My neighbor has a locust tree and they are fast growing, I see small ones all over there, they mow them down. What do the leaves look like? Could be maple, oak, walnut? I am not a tree person though, so can't help ya much! Sorry!

Your kidding about the red bird ? I think its a cardinal, they are called red birds. If it is a cardinal it has a crest of red feathers on its head. The male has bright red feathers with a black patch around its bill.Female is a washed out red.Its a song bird.I hope it is .

they're probably cardinals. i just forgot their name, as i am not a big bird person & i don't like all the chirping they do. it bugs me. :/ i'd rather have squirrels. they're more cute! i don't mind doves, because they're pretty quiet, i'm just not a big bird person... i like chickens, ducks & geese & those kinda birds... just not the small chirpy ones that poop all over your car & stuff. lol

the leaves... well.. they look like leaves.... lol not maple.. dunno what oak leaves look like (i have never paid that much attention. i just like pretty colors! LOL) they're almond shaped, deep green leaves.

Hi

Are the leaves compound?
If so, they are in fact baby Walnuts.
