| I've usually seen "Pride of Barbados" used as the common name for a related plant, C. pulcherrima, but that's the thing about common names, they do get used for different plants by different folks. ![]()

Look below thatbloom on top an you'll see the seed pods. The seed germinate easily, as least they did for me. But I let mine grow more like a tree. Some years I don't get any seeds, don't know why. Maybe I should cut mine down an let it go to shrub form an see what happens. |

| I wouldn't cut it down. Here is a pic of mine, it is 3 years old and to the roof. Of course in Texas were are experiencing 107 degree days so it doesn't look like much now. But when in full bloom it is beautifil. Very drought tolerant. Yes it is easy to start from seed.

| That's it, thank you Zuzu. Sorry for the slow response, long work week + a long commute doesn't leave alot of time. It's a very cool plant , might have to shrubrustle one of those little ones. Lots of seeds if anyone is interested. |
