I have black eyed susan vine and its beautiful but i cant find seed on it am i crazy or do thay not have any i have looked all summer ??????

I didn't do anything to mine and it re-seeded all over the place.

lol I'm up here in zone 5 but i have mine still blooming in my house i havent found any seeds either. so if your crazy i am to lololol

Ok i get it i am crazy but i wont to have some for next year its in a pot with cord and its climing up it its cute but it will freez and POOF all will b gone i can buy more in the spring but i wont to get my own seed and if i have to buy it YAll wont get any ether

They do produce seeds, but it is really hard to catch them when they are ripe. As soon as they ripen they shoot off the plant and you will never find them.
A couple years ago I was determined to harvest some, I would check my plant every day . It was a very large vine and I only ended up with a half dozen seeds. I just couldn't catch them at the right time.

Could you put something over the flowers like bits of pany hose to catch the seeds? I know I've done that with something in the past but can't remember what it was at the moment.

I remember the seeds looked like little green microphones, yes pantyhose would work, I have done that before too.

I want to see pictures of this endeavor, specifically your pantyhose flying in the wind as they cover your precious seed pods, flowers, etc.... and please, keep the "panty" in the hose, not just stockings!
