Free Garden Books

I am cleaning out my horticultural library and eliminating books that are more written for colder zones or about plants that don't pertain to Texas and the Gulf Coast. These are free, just pay for postage to mail them book rate. The numbers at the end refer to the number of pages and the year published. Many of these are books I purchased when getting my Horticultural Degree in northern VA.

BOOK TITLE , AUTHOR, pgs , pub. Date
  • Color Dictionary of Shrubs, S. Millar Gault 208 1976
  • 100 Great Garden Plants, William H. Frederick Jr. 210 1975
  • Hillier's Manual of Trees and Shrubs, Hillier and Sons 575 1973
  • Shrubs and Vines for American Gardens, Donald Wyman 613 1977
  • Trees for American Gardens, Donald Wyman 502 1977
  • Seaside Plants of the World, Edwin A Menninger 300 1964

Home Growing Orchids has been claimed. I took some of the books to the Post Office to get an idea of cost to mail them Media Rate and can now provide an estimate for mailing these books to anyone wanting them. Large books (size and weight wise) $5, smaller books $4. That covers postage and cost of bubblelined envelopes to mail them in. Please let me know if anyone else is interested in any of these books. I would be glad to more accurately describe the contents.

I still have these 3 books availabe to give away if anyone is interested. These books would be of primary interest to gardeners in Zones 7 or lower, except for Seaside Plants. They are free. I only ask for cost of shipping them which would be $5 for each book below (they are all hardbacks and relatively heavy).

BOOK TITLE , AUTHOR, pgs , pub. Date
  • Color Dictionary of Shrubs, S. Millar Gault 208 1976
  • 100 Great Garden Plants, William H. Frederick Jr. 210 1975
  • Seaside Plants of the World, Edwin A Menninger 300 1964

Everyone who has received a book from Bob, please help me test the iTrader system by leaving him iTrader feedback (you leave feedback as the "buyer" since this wasn't a trade).

Hi Bob,
I'm new to Plant Swap but I would love to have the remaining books for postage. It would be a tremendous help in determining what I have around here.
