Coleus wiped out today!I've been rooting a Coleus cutting for three weeks now and it finally had 2 very, very small roots emerging from it. Well, I get home today, after some very strong storms came through, and I see my rooting jar, but I don't see my Coleus cutting. The wind had blown the cutting completely UP and OUT of the jar, leaving the jar completely untouched, and I could not find the cutting anywhere! OH I was so mad. Mother Nature got a southern cursing... LOL Just wanted to vent and to produce a story with a moral. MORAL of the STORY: Never put a rooting jar outside during a hurricane. ![]()

| Bwaaaaa! I'm SO sorry, that sort of thing always breaks my heart.I'm currently trying to keep good thoughts for fair weather ... or at least, no bad wind storms.Every last one of my orchids and other delicate plants is sitting out in the yard on pallets, ![]() while we do a complete overhaul on the glasshouse shelving.

| It was supposed to frost here AGAIN last night. I went out and covered a couple of things but am I ever getting tired of that routine!! Its just been a really strange spring here. Each time it frosts, I think, well, thats the last one. And then the next week, they are saying its going to frost again. Surely this is truely the last one, its the 28 th of May. Geez, give me a break. LOL Mother Nature sure has a strange sense of humor. Deb

QuestionTotally unrelated to your loss, but a questions I've been wanting to ask. Does anyone know what the 'acorn' means under my name? I've noticed there are several different ones, 'blades of grass'. Anyone??? |

| AlphaDog stands at attention. Throwing utter respect towards Pushin'. After several moments, he cracks a grin and breaks out into the Funky Chicken Dance. WOOHOO! Respect is fun!
