Got this guy from my best friends mom about three years ago. Only managed to bloom once. Bloomed this summer but unfortunately grew a little funny causing it to hurt the flower bud. With that said, I've always been pulling off as many leaves as he's been growing. At the end of every growing season, two or three leaves get leathery and yellow and I have to remove them. At the end of each season he looks the same as when he started haha. It's one of my favorite plants. Just wondering how can I get it to grow in a more healthy, fruitful manner. I do know they like to be root bound. I do know they like bright indirect light. The only thing I can think of is that he's in a pot with no drainage hole. It's also possible the soil is too compacted as when I water him, the water doesn't soak into the dirt very well. Any ideas ?
