Wonderful surprise!

I just got back from 12 days in the northeast to see fall foliage for the first time and came home to what I thought had finished until next year!

A bright spot in your garden to welcome your return - very nice.
How far north did you go? Here in Connecticut we are just starting to reach peak color on the trees - but the hills and moutains are so alive with color, it is breathtaking. Hope you enjoyed our part of the country and had a delightful visit.

We flew into LaGuardia and rented a car and drove through CN to Me then most of the time in NH, VT, and upstate NY and back to LaGuardia. NH was peak and so was upstate NY (Ausable Chasm+ Adirondacks) beautiful colors!

For those who don't have the pleasure of seeing those beautiful colors(like us in New Orleans) you're welcome to take a look at some of my photos.

Beautiful scenes .
Pretty much how my state of Pennsylvania looks right now. I never thought of rent a car for a trip. Good idea. We used to drive our own out west. 9 times for sure.

Thanks for sharing.

The trees you wanted to know the name of is actually the bane of the east coast. The sumac tree grows prolific all thru the east and is quite invasive. Makes for nice color though.

Thanks, Deeka! I can definitely tell they are invasive. At least they have one good quality- beautiful color!
