What a Difference A Season Makes

I don't know about you but my way I notice quite a different appearance flowers bloom in comparative seasons.

Here is one bloom I noticed that looks so different from when I initially purchased the plant in October of last year.

'Marilyn's Choice' - Abutilon - Flowering Maple, aka Chinese Lantern

Here is a pic of the same plant, new bloom of course taken yesterday. Incredible.

Thanks Diane, fearadyn, and Penny! Has anyone noticed a noticable change in their flowers from season to season?

Hi Calin, I prefer the peachy/pink color combo, the latter of the two.

that is so interesting, I was waiting for my abutilon, to see if it would do something similar, but nope, all its flowers look just like your avatar.

Hi GT, hmmmm, interesting. Not sure why mine is doing this but I must say that I like it. The bloom I have pictured is still in bloom. I did notice another bud so I'll need to take note as to what the color does when it blooms.

mr, thanks! Yes, aren't abutilons great? I'm looking to expand my collection on those. And I just can't believe three of the four abutilons I grow are in bloom at this time, definitely a winter plant. We are supposed to get 30/31 degree weather tonight so I'll need to cover them and many others.
