Third Time a Charm

Couldn't believe it this a.m., my epiphyllum strictums have more buds.
This will be the third time inside of two months for blooms. I'm just thrilled.

Love these guys and they must be happy!

Almost missed seeing a bloom from this basket. Luckily, I looked up and saw this at 8:30 a.m today.

There were two more blooms 10/2/10 by night as well.

If you look closely, you will see the second bloom at the bottom of basket. These shots were taken in the a.m. of 10/3/10.

The next time one of mine decide to bloom I will reverse the day/night cycle to see if I can get it to bloom during the day.

Thanks Tindo. Now that is an interesting idea. I wondering how you will accomplish this? Mine started it's bloom around 10:30 p.m. and continued thru 9:00 a.m. the following morning.

Well I can put mine in the bathroom all day (no window) and keep it 100% dark all day, then put it under grow lights during the night.

Tindo, interesting plan. But if you are an early morning riser, you can see this plant bloom late at night all the way til the early morning hours, until say 9:00 a.m.

Thanks Swamplady and Penny. I would think I will probably not see any more blooms from this basket til next year, but don't know. Will keep yall posted.
