1st Xmas Cactus blooms of season!

Not long after I brought my holiday/Christmas cactus inside due to threat of a freeze (about 1 1/2 weeks) ago, I saw first blooms of two of the four holiday cactus.

My first bloom is from 'Malissa White'. Unlike last year when she was a bit lazy, as she took her good ole time blooming, she was the first to bloom this year. Guess she showed me.

Then, a day or so later, 'Nicole' Christmas Cactus gave her first bloom for this season.

I have buds on the others as well as these, and some are getting plump.

I'm show the first blooms on my other two holiday cactus when they bloom.

I'm just thrilled to see buds and the start of flowers once again this season. I read where they can live 100 years. Isn't that incredible?

Oh, very nice callanh. And I love both colors too!

Okay, my red decided to show her presence a few days back.

And today she has a least 4 or 5 blooms. She does have some to go before her peak, and I'm hoping I will see a nice show on her for Christmas. Five days and counting.

My gold was the laziest this year and finally showed her first bloom yesterday.

My white is really making her show but I don't think she is peaking just yet, but close.

That gold one is gorgeous! No buds on the one you gave me FD but it is nice and healthy so maybe eventually. I do have one other that BFG gave me last spring, and it has 2 teeny, tiny little buds on it but they haven't grown since I spotted them over a week ago and it hasn't gotten any more so I'm not sure if it's going to bloom, but I'm enjoying it.

Hi callanh, thanks! I think my gold/yellow is Gold Charm. I absolutely love yours, particularly Xmas Flame! Sooo pretty! Thanks for showing us. Show us what else you have. Sounds like a fab xmas cactus collection you have!

Thanks GOE, what color will yours be blooming? I can't wait to see pictures of her. Hurry, hurry.

SadieMae, I'm so glad the xmas cactus cuttings I gave you made it. The larger piece I gave you came from the picture you see above, my 'Malissa White'. She has somewhat of a hole in the middle since her accident but has bounced back for me. LOL What color do you think your teeny tiny buds will be? Now we want to see them when they bloom okay? I'm betting they will bloom for you.

Friends and family were able to see some blooms from my holiday/christmas cactus. Here are pics of how they each looked on Christmas day!

'Malissa White' holiday cactus - and I must say she stole the show.

'Nicole' Christmas Cactus

'Gold Charm' holiday cactus

My red holiday cactus - although she was not profuse, she was still pretty and enjoyed by all. Maybe next year she will show all Christmas day.
Hope all had a wonderful Christmas!

Ooh. FD. How lovely your holiday cacti are. I will have some new starts to share in the spring--maybe some you don't have: coral, peach, fuschia, fuschia and white, maybe later some orange.

I NEED a purple, light, medium and/or dark.

Don't let me forget if there's colors you need.

BFG, I'm glad you enjoyed seeing them! And thanks for the offer with unusual holiday cactus cuttings you have. I may take you up on that.

Everyone, show your holiday cactus blooms please. BFG, did you have any that bloomed for you, please show them.
