pretty pictures bali
ur walk to get the news paper looks long hopefully u were way bundled up and had some hot coco when u came in the house and is that ur house in the picture?? if so it looks cozy i would love one day of snow like that here in CA

Yep long walk an good exercise for all ages.....Keeps me tip top without going to the gym......Yep my Old timer house, suits me fine.
I wear a downe coat , boots hat gloves an it is less than 5 minutes there.LOL
Naw the house feels warmer once you been out in the cold.LOL

Bali, I just love old houses. Ours was built in the 1920's and I think the older ones have more character. Sad thing is, so many times I see old houses that are just falling down, and I'd love to see the insides. Bet most of em have beautiful woodwork in them. I envy you the privacy it looks like you have! While I'm out in the country, my house is right by the road and it drives me crazy. Everyone always knows when you're home. LOL Not necessarily a good thing.

Lol, castle it just aint fair that you can play outside and I can't. Bali our weather here is closer to yours than castles, she on one end of the state and I'm on the other.

My floors are genuine oak, stairs also. All downstairs wood is oak.

I agree that older houses had a lot more character, but newer houses have a lot more conveniences, like closet space in the bedrooms.
