purple snow :-)

The Petrea is my preferred substitute for Wisteria
in spring it makes a huge show but it keeps blooming on and off throughout the summer

The blossoms fall like purple snowflakes

How lovely! Wish I'd known about this plant before buying a wisteria last year. Oh well, it was on sale anyway :P Does your purple snow plant smell nice?

Beautiful GT!

I bought 3 petra volubis vines last fall, and was hoping to have a show this spring.... but they delayed in 'taking off' and I don't think are even close to flowering.

How long did it take yours to flower?

That's just gorgeous GT! What a smart choice the Petrea is.
I have purple snow up here in NC too, but it's just common Wisteria -
it's a nuisance to manage, but the scent is lovely.
