RR, be patient. it is now the third year for my hindu rope to finally start blooming. But actually, I love the look of the plant, so flowers or not, no biggie

thanks FD, I am super careful with fertilizer. I believe I lost several because of fertilizing them. so they don't get anything but the lizard poop or what ever else Nature provides.

This is what I use on mine and they seem to just love it. Actually I use this on all my plants and they are thriving with it.

GT, I can definitely see why you are in love with hoyas as their blooms are so unique and beautiful. I had a touch of lusting for them last year LOL, and the potential for my new addiction. I have three at this time, h. variegated hindu rope, carnosa 'tricolor' and h. kerrii. Kerrii is now in bloom, and I am thrilled to say the least.
'Lizzard poop' had to laugh on that one.

Thanks rr for the link on 'Big Bloom' fertilizer.

Yall are funny! I encourage toads in my garden as I suffer with plenty of snails/slugs I even have ceramic toad houses for them but I don't think they use them. It's funny as the froggie mating calls have started so I soon will have more toads. I kind of like their sounds. Oh boy, more toad poop. That is just so funny! Hadn't thought about that. Hey, if it helps my plants well then I'm all for that.

I have my broken clay pots all over the yard, half dug in the ground (to hide the broken parts) and the open part well hidden under ferns. The toads and frogs LOVE them! of course they also spend their days in my watering cans, pitcher plants and shoes if I forget to bring them in :-/

Wow- That's beautiful! And HUGE! Sadly, I don't have a retusa yet, or I'd definitely send some your way. By any chance might you have any extra of the crassicaulis, longifolia, or kerrii? I don't have any of those yet, but I do have some lacunosa 'Royal Flush', polyneura, ds-70, brevialata, or lacunosa 'poonsak' I could share. if you're interested in any of those
