Okay!

Here's a batch of the ribbon-winners from last year's Internatinal Orchid Expo. Unfortunately, the Dendro breeders were not as delicate about labeling as other growers, so I'm not sure what these are other than genus.

And Denhopea florida, a Dendrobium-Stanhopea hybrid.

I so wanted to take the 'Agena Peach' and the D. bicolor home with me - the specimen plants were amazing.

My dend is not looking the best right now as i dont really know how to care for it..but it does have some new growth spot and some roots on a couple branches that I am told are for new baby plants.

oh wow lorax, of course there is no competing with an orchid show... I gave up going to shows, I ended up spending hundreds of dollars on orchids. a true addiction that was!

here's my little guy, a Den. agregatum

thanks esyf, at this moment the aphyllum is dropping all its leaves. But even without leaves it looks beautiful with its long silvery branches. I'll have to take a picture...

I received one of these in a swap and had no clue what it was so it didn't break my heart when my cat destroyed it. Now I'm glaring at her because it's so pretty!

Ang, which orchid did your cat destroy, a Den. agregatum? maybe there is enough of it left to keep growing?

It was just labeled Dendrobium.
This was back a few months ago and I had thought about trying to salvage it but unfortunately my Delilah is a master at destroying things.

sorry Ang, but thankfully Dendrobiums aren't that expensive. If you ever find a spot for such an orchid out of Delilah's reach just get one
