Central Florida Plant Show

The Polk County Master Gardeners Assoc is hosting the 8th Annual Backyard Gardenfest and Plant Sale in Bartow, FL on April 26th from 9-2. I haven't been before, but it sounds great. Here's a website that tells about it and lower on the page it has a link that lists some of the plants expected to be for sale - there's quite a few! Just wanted to share. . I believe the Lakeland chapter of the MGA put on the plant show I went to here in Lakeland recently and it was amazing!

I think so too! I'll try to take some pics if I go.

hi, does anyone have information on the event this year? I only found the date online - April, 23 - in exactly 3 months, by the way - but the link to the web site is broken...

I found this website that gives some more info about this event -
http://polk.ifas.ufl.edu/mg/

I went a couple years ago and got there an hour after it started and it was pretty picked over by then - still a lot of plants, but mostly just common things left. I think you have to be there right when it opens to get the good stuff! I wasn't really impressed, I'm only about a half hour away but don't plan on going again.

One show that is always a treat though is in Lakeland -

It's well worth a trip, lots of unique plants and garden art.
I think it said it was on Mar 12 this year.
