GT, that is a beautiful flower, it does look artificial, and so in tune with Christmas time! Does it have a common name that I might recognize?

I love tropical hibiscus. You are so lucky to be able to grow them there. Another point about which I am envious of you!

Love the flowers everyone!!!

Miami - the hibiscus are just lovely and I can just imagine what the ixoria hedge looks like! WOW. Garden work is never done!

zindagi - nice flowers. I bet you can't wait to get your hands dirty and play in the dirt again when your home gets finished! I know I couldn't.

GT - Love the EPI. That is a real stunner. I wish that I could just get mine to bloom!

MP, this Epi is commonly called 'orchid cactus'. They come in a wide variety of hybrids in all colors. I guess the best known one is E. Oxypetalum ( Queen of the night) or the E. pumilum, a prolific day bloomer
