| I'm with ya. I've got some sprouting on my porch in a ziplock. The easter egg plant is the solanum ovigerum. I believe the difference between the melongena and the ovigerum is that the easter eggplant is grown to be ornamental because the fruit change color whereas the regular eggplant is grown to be eaten. This is the first time I'm growing it and probably got the seeds in a swap with someone here on the site earlier this spring so maybe someone else can clue us in. I do have some germinating though so I'll be watching with you this summer. I do know they are annual unless brought in for the winter. -D |
