Passiflora :)

in March I received a surprise package with a rooted passi from a generous trader, and today it flowers for the first time for me I just have to share:

Passiflora caerula:

Please everyone, show your passifloras.... btw, I am still on the hunt for a rooted cutting of a pure white passiflora. I'd give just about anything

printemps, if you had the white passi, I would not have anything to offer you in trade, you have every neat plant there is already

Good subject and nice thread! GT, can you upload a picture of your 'maracuja' passi, so that I know, what flower I can expect on all of mine? They are growing up my trees like made and getting stronger every year, most beautiful foliage, too - but no cigar/flowers, let alone the passionfruit, to make good mixed drinks with ;-)
I have the above featured one, as well, but since it does not have a 'partner', it only flowers :-( - but beautiful flowers, nonetheless!

Oh wow! What a pristine beauty that one is GT!

Just two of my Passi vines have bloomed so far this year,
P. amethyst:
and P. incarnata (which is native to my area):
I also have a beautiful and vigorous red Passion vine which I received from a swap buddy,
but, as enthusiastically as it is growing, there are no signs of flowers as yet ...
so maybe I will have to wait until next year. *sigh*

Oh, and some still-small, rooted cuttings of a most delicate looking Passi with 5 lobed foliage -
can't wait to see what that one turns out to be.

Ooooh, I really like that one Tiger!
And I notice that it has 5 lobed foliage, I wonder if that's what my mystery passi will look like.
Is it a sort of delicate looking vine with smallish foliage?

zuzu, the first one I posted has also very delicate deeply loped leaves ... and here is my red one
Passiflora coccinea:

I am trying to root cuttings, but no success. zero. I tried in water and in dirt, with and without rooting hormone, greenwood, hardwood, long and short branches.... and I have no idea what I am doing wrong

Oooh! nice. Something to look forward to! Freu mich schon! Btw., MsKay7 is getting one of my rooted cuttings and maybe even one of the plants. I cannot put my fingers on it either, same with my yellow oleander, sometimes the cutting root in water or just soil and sometimes they don't. Try 'abmoosen', you cut a tiny wedge out of one side of the stem, put rooting hormone on it, wet sphagnum moss, then wrap it with cling wrap, then aluminum foil. Don't look at it until 4-6 weeks down the road. (Haven't tried it yet myself, though, but it's supposed to work like a charm) Viel Glueck! + let me know, how it
turns out G.

Gosh, they are all so lovely! Wanna see more, more, more!!

I'm hoping that the red one I rec'd in trade will be P.coccinea,
especially after seeing your photo, GT.
And now, with your description of the first one you posted (P.caerula)
I can hope that my little one might turn out to be either that one or like Tiger's ...
either would be a great joy!
