Night Blooming Jasmine put on her show

I knew this was coming as I've been watching my Night Blooming Jasmine a little more closely these past days. Last night was her night of performance. I took the following two pics around 10:30 p.m.

Cestrum nocturnum - Night Blooming Jasmine

I woke up early to see the show continue, 5:30a.m.

What an incredible fragrance! I smelled it when I made the turn from the back of the house, some 60 ft away! Hope you enjoyed the show!

Absolutely fabulous. Oh I would love to be able to grow these. The fragrance is so overwhelmingly wonderful Ė donít you wish you could just bottle it up for a later time? Don't I wish you could have attached the fragrance to the picture so we could all get a whif?
Such great pictures of this wonderful flower. Thank you for sharing them.

So pretty! I'm going to have to get one for my evening/night garden.

Thanks everyone! Glad yall enjoyed! This is the first year NBJ put on her fabulous show. I've been growing this plant for two to three years.

Yeah, the scent was beyond words! Do you know she is still blooming and I'm seeing daytime blooms as well.

I'm sure when it goes to seed, I'll have plenty of NBJ seeds to trade!

SwampLady, maybe you can try them inside?

Hi David, and welcome to PlantSwap

This species is not hardy in my zone, and I can report that I have had success growing it for quite a few years as a container plant
which spends summers outside and winters indoors.
I have to prune it back, of course, but it actually makes an attractive houseplant in the cold months, IMO.
