night blooming


my night blooming cerous plant I received from a plant swap buddy finally has started to grow a bit. I looked this up online and its amazing, people have get togethers to hang out and wait for this plant to bloom.Pretty cool. Who all out there has seen one of these bloom?I may not of spelled correctly.The plant sorta looks like a x-mac cactus.

Aww, isn't it exciting when our new babies start to grow??

Did you see the awesome picture that gone_tropical has just put up in our gallery??
Her gorgeous Selenicereus grandiflorus
is somewhat different than the species which I grow, Epiphyllum oxypetalum.

Do you know which type your new baby is? Either way, you are gonna LOVE it!!

Do they smell as heavenly as they look,, wow, soooo pretty,,,, Blessings,, Beth Every time I see someones beauties, it makes me want them all, and its just not possible,, but something for everyone and everybody,,, when I see places with nothing I can't imagine not having a thing,, from a lover of all plants , veges, trees, and I can go on and on,, I am glad my parents loved to have trees, flowers, and gardens,, at least I learned something,, I wouldn't want to be without them ever Blessings,, Beth

I can only speak for the scent of the E.oxypetalum,
but yes, it really is pretty darned amazing, Beth.

I know what you mean about getting a yen for most every plant that I see,
but you are right - sometimes the things that I think I'd like to have just wouldn't be practical for me.

Hi, I have one and have had it for now about a year, how do I take care of this beautiful plant? It's in a pot on our front porch,info please,thanks, Rosequeen In Ga.
