Hibiscus blues

sometimes I think I want to give up on certain plants, but I am glad I didn't.
May I present:

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, cultivar 'Feelin' Blue'

Beautiful! My father had one like it but I don't think it had the red throat I think his was white instead. Dad's were all tropical as he grew them on Maui. TFS

flowerdazed to answer your question, those tropical hibiscus are great container plants. For your zone I am sure they'd do great in ground, but further north those plants don't take kindly to frost.
they love full sun with some midday protection, don't like wet feet but want water. And they love fertilizer, any kind but they can just 'sit in a bathtub full' of milorganite they like sandy soil and hate nematodes.... I think that about covers it...

Saba, those cultivars don't come true from seeds, but I keep you in mind for a cutting.

SmileThank you.

Oh yes, *sigh* all of my tropical Hibiscus are in pots here in zone 8.
They all have to go into hiding for 3 months or so each winter.

So, in answer to how big it gets ... *lol* ... not nearly as big as it would like to get
my poor babies all get serious "haircuts" to keep them manageable.
