Thanks everyone! I've known about red Texas Star hibiscus for sometime and recently came across a neighbor in the area who is growing two huge ones in her front garden. What a spectactular show. I was able to acquire a pretty large one with good roots and potted her up about 1 1/2 months ago. I surely was surprised to see to buds, first bud you see the bloom of, the other I'm waiting on a bloom.

beavercreek, I would love to receive white Texas Star seeds from you. Yes, my address is the same. Thanks

On my way to the store yesterday I spotted some white and pink, huge hibiscus plants and hope that they are the hardy type. No one was around to talk to at the time but I am going back to get a couple pictures for identification - if they are hardy then I will make it a priority to try and get some of the seeds.

SwampLady, you just may get bitten by the Hibiscus bug! Hope they are hardy and you get those seeds. Let us know. I'd like to see those pics as well.

FD. I mailed the white TX Star seeds yesterday. Didn't know you only had a plant cause I have many more red seeds than white, but you'll have your own seeds now off your plant. I love hibiscus and have lots of them. Most I dig in Fall though.

thanks beavercreek, I'll look for them. If there is anything I can send you in return, please let me know.

Hi trumpetvine, thanks! The color is quite different, I wouldn't say true red, almost has a tangerine color to it. I had to have it and giving this one special treatmentas I really do with all my plants
