forget me not

A friend gave me a forget me not out of her nearby creek, I put it in a pot at home it seem ok. Anyone no about these? I was just at the local nursery and they had the same plant for 10$ it was in the pond section. Guess I need to keep wet?

I also had some before in a small patch and there are a couple of kinds I believe. The one I have is a pale sky blue. What I had before was an annual and a shorter plant.
