TalkingFlowers at Lowes

Hey everyone. I know how we all love a good bargain! Well I went to our Lowes over the week-end! Wow! I managed to get Daliahs in a gallon bucket for a dollar. Got 2 daylillies that are done blooming for .50 apiece, geraniums for .50 A gallon of Arizona Blanket flower for 1.50 but my favorite is a Hibscus tree for $10.00 I thought they were all like shrubs. I also got a Mandaville for $5.00. Not sure what i am going to do if i don't get my greenhouse but i will worry about it later. Hubby thought i was crazy (well he knows that) but i was in the poring down rain shopping away. Oh, got a gerber daisy for .50 too. Could not pass these up!

Great score Tiger. I'm in the same boat as GT they wont even let you pick them out of the trash here. Hope they all thrive for you and I hope you get that greenhouse soon. You'll wonder how you lived without one once you get it.

That stinks that not all Lowes mark down! I would think making a buck rather then throwing away and making nothing would be more sense. Well, If I get my greenhouse i will stock up on these for all of you who want.. For the price i paid i can wait for daylillies next year. I don't go to Home Depot cause they don't mark down here.

Lots of times if a plant is in bad shape you can request it to be marked down at the register and they will do it to make the customer happy and not cause a sceene at the register

I got zuchinii plants at walmart earlier in the summer for a dollar because they were wilted..they were normally 3.99. They are now thriving and blooming

The closest Lowes to me takes 25% off, thats all, when they put them on the clearance racks.
BUT, like Riverrock said, they will mark it down another 50% if you ask.

I went to that greenhouse I mentioned on my birthday trip, but their hydrangeas were covered in big red spots on the leaves and looked horrible.
I did get a "candy stripe" one at Lowes the other day. It was on clearance for 12.00 and was half burnt up but they marked it down to 6.00 when I asked if they would. So I got it. I'm babying it and will take a couple of cuttings soon. It's not a blue one like I want, but it is a pink and white stripe

I got a variegated lemon tree that was $50 for $5, and got a $50 mandevilla for $1. I know the supervisor at our lowe's garden center so i go when she's there to get plants for less than what they actually paid for them. Got a $25 calla for $6, and a split leaf philodendron $29 for $6, because it had dead leaves, its all about who ya know

I got 6 beautiful azaleas at Lowe's last week for $2.25 each. And they are re-bloomers!!!! I can't wait to see them bloom because they were not just plain janes. They had lots of other plants but I controlled myself and just got the azaleas. My therapy must be working.
