Do you need to stake them when they get that tall?

Thanks RB and bali.

bali, acutally, no. This particular brug is a number of years old. Just recently, I took her out of her pot, cut some of her root system back, and repotted in a larger pot with fresh soil. She's got I would say a two inch circumference bark so she doesn't need staking.

Soooo pretty and fragrance I can just guess, thanks a lot flowerdazed, keep pics coming,
when, oh when will I see mine like this,
how did you cut roots, side or middle and how much? how big is your pot?
I was thinking of doing it to few of mine, isn't it to late, they just got more green, will it disturb grow and/or blooming?
we from colder zones have limited time to grow our beauties outside and see them bloom.

Ahhh Really lovely, FD - can't wait until mine start to bloom.
Those perfect white blooms certainly make it clear how the common name "Angel's Trumpet" came to be.

Thanks saba! What I did with regard to cutting the root system was take the whole plant out of the root bound for sometime pot, cut I would guess about mid way across the bottom of the root system with a serated (ph) knife. I got aggressive with it. I transferred her to a large ceramic pot and even relocated the pot to another area, and, would you believe, while she had 6 or 7 buds on her. She made it just fine, fresh soil and all.

Thanks zuzu. I sure hope you see your blooms soon so you can enjoy their beautiful trumpets as well as their heavenly fragrance!

Snapped her picture night before last!

'Flamenco' Brugmansia

She got transferred to a new pot a few months back. I also moved her to a sunnier location.

NICE!!! Love the name 'Flamenco',
and your photo does capture how the bloom resembles a dancer's skirt in motion.

Love it, so pretty,

I just disposed one of mine, got to sick beyond recovery, to much water,
I was afraid it may pass to others next to it, all budding now.
