I planted some strawberry plants in recycle bins, and tomato seeds in a couple of pots. Went out to check on something and found one of my beagles laying in the strawberry tub, and foorprints in the tomato pots. Dang animals

She didn't dig in the pot, just jumped into it and laid there. In summer I could see her wanting to lay in cool dirt, but in the middle of winter? I think she just likes to do silly things, always pulling some kind of stunt to make me laugh.

I went for a walk the other day, going down a street that I usually don't go, and I came upon a yard that was covered in bromeliads. I saw no blooms, but it was an impressive sight. I oogled many of them: some deep reds, a few gigantic ones.

All I could think was that he should put a fence up to make sure that they don't get stolen. Oops..... then it dawned on me..... I was drooling and wanting them.... but most folks probably don't..... BUSTED!

Anyway..... I think that if many of you lived in my neighborhood, perhaps I wouldn't be the only one feeling guilty about the temptation!!

I just could not let it go, not knowing the name of this bright flowering bromeliad, after countless hours of searching and comparing, this is

'Quesnelia testudo', a bromeliad I received in trade
