I tend to agree that spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) are very common and a plant most people have or have had. I have a Chlorophytum bichetii which looks like the white margined spider plant, except never gets the "spiders". it grows more grass like. Now there's one that not meny people have. Picture below.

Gee Nancy, off the top of my noggin, I don`t know what to tell ya that would help. Mine just always bloomed readily. Hmmmmm try putting it in a sunny window for bout 6 hours a day then feeding it some miracle grow, that may do the trick. LUCK!!

Spider Plants

Gee everyone seems to have spider plants. If anyone has too many babies, I'll take one or two off their hands. It's just that I travel almost full time so I'm only home on the weekend. ***With the exception of March 16-25 I'll be home for a full week.*** So, if anyone wants to send me spider plant (or even seeds to try) babies, I'll pay for postage.

As for trade, not sure what I have people would want. I do have a lot of herb seeds cuz I grow herbs. I got the usual herbs (basil, garlic/onion chives, parsley and cilantro) and I've also collected several asian pear seeds. (I haven't tried to plant those yet.) In addition, I have chamomile (yes, I'm horrible with spelling) and borage seeds too.

So if anyone's interested, let me know..

Hi Bernard

If the spider plant babies didn't get out yet, you might want to wait. Our flight home to NY was cancelled due to the snow storm so we won't be home now until April 6th. I can't believe we got our vacation got snowed out. Hope your business trip is going better than our vacation...

Lindy

Send a message via Yahoo to kancheta
I am just getting moved into my first house and don't have many plants yet. I would love a spider baby or pretty much anything for my yard. I have some canna's and some hawaiian ginger in pots that I could divide if someone would like to trade anything.
