i would be very careful shipping in this weather! Perhaps a syrofoam container would help but you are going to pay for the size.

Shipping in this heat

If you can't hold off for cooler temps I would suggest you wrap the roots well in really moist towels (paper towels) an secure the towels well then put them in say a ziploc bag, again secure the bag around the stems so it won't leak. I use freezer tape, that way I can get it tight without abusing the stems. Then what I've done is use those styofoam peanuts around the plants, they are like sending air anyway. These will help but the moisture around those roots are the key. As far as I know I've always had happy traders (other forums).

Its too hot here in Oklahoma right now even for nearby states, to ship live plants. Bulbs will do alright but I still wrap them real good in wet papertowel and foil or a baggy, like Trudy shared. Even when they travel overnight in the trucks, the eat is too much for live plants. Sometimes I still try, but its just grace and luck when they arrive ok.

I agree with Trudy just keep those roots well moistened during the shipping & hope they arrive pretty quick. It is getting so very exspensive 2 mail the least of packages these days, So good luck with it Shannon.
