| Geez. Sorry. Did I mention I'm BLONDE???!! I will still be in Bellefontaine, Ohio. There is already garden space in the front and one side of the house. Some full shade, some both, and a little full sun. The rest of the yard is pretty much full sun at the moment, except for one small "wooded" area off to one side of the back yard. Our yard butts to a playground area at the farthest end. Only thing there is a chain link fence. I'd like to make our yard private from that and one neighbor whose house is a little too close for my tastes. Somewhere in the yard I want to put in a koi/goldfish pond for the 20+ fish I already have and maybe a second smaller one for smaller fish. I'd really like some pretty trees & shrubs for a living fence. My hubby's only request is burning bushes and my oldest boy wants ostrich ferns. The 3 yr. old just wants anything orange. lol. I WANT ONE OF EVERYTHING!!!!! lol. Does that help any? lol

| Tink, I have fiddlehead ferns that grow just gorgeous in spring and all through summer. They die down in the late fall when the frosts start. They are very hardy as I live in Alaska and the ground gets frozen down almost 2 feet for 4-5 months. They grew about a yard high and wide this year. I have smaller ones in the lawn as well that I mow down until I dig them out. I am doing a lot of landscaping right now before winter arrives in about a month and I am digging up about five mature fern rootballs. If you want some I can send them parcel post. Let me know. | Do you think that the fiddlehead ferns could make it in Houston? BTW I saw some HUGE ferns in the Royal Palm preserve and swamp in western Jamaica. Giant Crab Thatch ferns. I saw them from a board walkway, but guess they're about 6 to 8 feet tall and across. |

| As long as they are kept moist they will thrive. It gets quite warm here in summer. The ground is frozen and covered in snow right now, but as soon I see any green I can pack them up and ship them. If enough snow melts while I am on vacation I will move some into the greenhouse when I get back after Jan 5. |
