How about expanding this

Can this topic be expanded to include plant trading, cuttings, etc, in addition to seeds? Many of us propagate extra plants and can provide cuttings of plants wanted by others, so maybe this can be a Want/Have type of category, just like they use for organized plant swaps. Just a suggestion.

Sure, no problem. Do you ship plants/cuttings in the mail? I wouldn't think they would survive too well.

At any rate, feel free to make/request offers for plants, cuttings or seeds.

I send plants very successfully all the time by USPS Priority Mail. The average cost is $5 but the plants arrive in 2 days max. in good condition (next day to Houston). Folks swapping plants merely pay for the cost to send it to the person they are trading with. I offer surplus plants on my web site (to help pay for the site) at www.houstongardening.info/offerings.htm which require shipping. My most recent trade was with a fellow in Illinois where we swapped different varieties of Sanseveria and the plants shipped well both ways. This should not be a problem if the plants are packed well. Perhaps the Forum topic should be changed to Plant and Seed Exchanging.

Hi,
Great idea, I too ship and have shipped plants all over the country. If they are packaged correctly they will be fine. Come on spring!!!!!
