| I doubt seriously that you can grow Hostas in Zone 9 along the FL west coast. I couldn't grow them in Houston (same zone) nor in Austin. They need cold/freezing winter dormant periods to thrive. You might grow them well for one year or so but they will deteriorate in Zone 9. Might want to reconsider and try other plants. Try Kampheria gingers for your area. I call them my Hosta substitutes because I loved growing Hostas when living further north and couldn't along the Gulf Coast |
