QuestionCollecting Seeds?Please tell me how

I just bought some perennials for a new bed I'm planting (actuall my husband and kids gave me $ as a Mother's Day gift so I could get what I wanted). Anyway, I have columbine, lupine, delphinium and I bought some annual dahlias. My question is, how to I get seeds from them? I would like to collect some so I can share/swap etc. in th fall if anyone would be interested. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

seed saving

In each bloom develops a seed pod. You have to wait until it is pretty dry so the seeds have time to develope. sometimes figuring out what is the seeds and what isnt can be tricky just exmine the blooms after they are dead and you may have a few trial and error but you will figure it out. Some plants are easier than others. I hope this helped. I ma not an expert so I just keep looking at the blooms in various stages and try to figure it out. It may help to if you google pictures of seeds or if someone here sends some pics. Then you will know what to look for.
Jessie

Hi,
I am new to this. Hope I am writing in the right spot. I would love some of your hollyhock seeds. Do you think they will grow in zone 8 southwest GA.
I don't have much to swap. I do have some queen anne's lace. and will have some four oclocks later on. Thanks, Kathyb

Columbine seeds will come on quickly.....
Watch them.. Cause they fall off.
Everything has seeds......One caution.. be sure to dry them in the sunny window so they dont rot........If in doubt be sure you put them in paper envelopes to loose the moisture..

Show us a photo of the seed and most of us on here know when to pick.
(We started out like you )

seeds

I was looking at a seed sight to get a better idea on how to save seed and I did not no that you can get seed from a tulip, but it said it takes about 6 years for the seed to develop into a bulb? I still have hollyhock seeds and I don't no if they grow down south I don't see why not. You would only get the plant probably first year then next year they should bloom.Send a pm.

Blackberry Lilys 2 yrs.. however I started some early like january and did get a bloom the first year.Frost came at it quickly.

Lots of our stuff grows in florida ...SO why not there?
