wet area

Lets see........hosta, elephant ears, chameleon plant, flag iris, pretoria canna, daylilies,, astilbe, blue eyed grass, cat tails, etc. LOL I was thinking of making a bog garden this summer but I think I already have too much on my plate. Plus I got a whole boat load of rock yesterday so that kind of changed my plans a bit. If you do a search on the internet you will find lots of plants that can be planted in a wet area. Just google bog garden plants. Heres a link that might help.

http://www.ee.enr.state.nc.us/garden/bogplantlist.htm

Hope that helps.
Deb

Thanks for the web-site. My wet area is in front of the airconditioner drain. The louisiana Iris will be perfect there.

Great suggestions so far. I've got some River Birch and "Swamp" lilies growing in a wet area of my yard. They do great.

You can also try Loquats if you like to have something edible.

There's a good pic here:

I've got both white and red flowering varieties.
