Well over here we haven't had the slightest inclination of frost yet. Today it's actually shorts and tee shirt weather. The ground is a mud pit from all the rain but the temps are wonderful. I still have roses and petunia's blooming. And some daisy's and zinnia's.

Happy to say that accumulating snow is a pretty rare event here. ![]() Most years there are a few flakes, but that is about all ... Oh gosh, I hope I'm not jinxing myself, ![]() because I do remember the year that we had a tremendous Christmas snowtorm, ( for this little corner of the planet) with nearly 2 feet of accumulation - completely brought the whole area to a dead stop! ![]()

I know what you mean. I grew up in a small mountain town in Va and we would get blizzards there. The school buses had to go out into the boondocks area, on dirt roads, to pick up all the kids. With ice and snow all over the ground. They almost NEVER canceled school. But here if the word snow is on the news the night before everything closes. The only thing open is grocery stores, gas stations, and convenience stores. That cracks me up!!

ah yes , Harvey Cedars was where I spent weekends in a drydocked house boat next to a small graveyard for WWII ocean mines. Great playground surrounded by canals. The house was the one surrounded by trees that would get covered in monarchs every year. I don't know why they liked those willow trees.
